2019 - 2020

2019 has been a mesmerizing year for Transnatural Label, a year which now slowly fades into 2020.
Four new artists enforce the collection with inspiring, new designs. Participating in the Paris Design Week was an extraordinary experience, especially to meet so many new clients and potential partners in the hospitality and architectural fields. We highly appreciate the positive responses on introducing the brand for the first time in France.

In 2020 the collection will be extended and new collaborations will arise. A glimpse on some new experiments and developments are summarized below with projects from Merel Karhof, David Derksen & Lex Pott, Tim Teven and Tijs Gilde.

We’d like to thank all visitors and clients for the interest and vertile collaborations and we hope to welcome you again in 2020.
Transnatural wishes you a prosperous new year!

Inspired by a windmill sawing wood, Merel Karhof leaks trails of blue oxidation across an oak table-top in her Airfoil table, designed for Transnatural. Karhof controls a sophisticated printing process of deep, grey-blue gradients as a result of oxidation on wood. The -beyond table- experience will be available soon.

Since the introduction of our iconic Transience mirrors project in 2012, revealing the oxidation process on silver in glass, we’ve been able to design 16 different models and many custom designed projects which are distributed all over the world till today.

Designers Lex Pott and David Derksen decided to take the project to another level. The new designs literally reveal the back and front of the mirror by merging silver with colored back coatings, resulting in fascinating, reflecting gradients on glass. The image showed above is the first experiment.

The Ode to AL is a tribute to the most sustainable and recyclable metal, aluminium. The prototype cabinet and room divider was already launched in Paris, where we also received requests on a lower model. Tim Teven designed a new model, available in spring 2020.

The shelves are elegantly and partly folded down, holding the Ode to AL solidly up in the air. The accessories allow you to store and hide content, and it can slide along the shelves to a desired position. As the front and back are identical, The Ode to AL can be used on both sides as cabinet and room divider.
